The 64-year old, yet so dynamic and energetic (still capable of riding a bicycle) Schools Division Superintendent of SDO Tayabas, Aniano M. Ogayon , CESO, fondly called Sir Noy, reported to office and attended the Monday flag ceremony, physically, July 06, for the first time after CALABARZON started implementing community quarantines.
In his speech, he first and foremost congratulated the personnel for their concerted effort to exude the confidence that the Department of Education is doing its best to prepare for the opening of classes on August 24.
“I am more than happy to share that 91% of our public school learners have enrolled ; though the private schools still lag behind”, he said.
Likewise, he commended the leadership of ASDS Randy d. Punzalan and ASDS Maylani L. Galicia in leading the Curriculum Implementation Division, in close partnership with the Schools Governance and Operations Division in up-skilling and re-skilling school heads, teachers and other personnel, making them more adaptable and flexible collaborators in the delivery of learning services.
He reminded all concerned, however, to be strategic in monitoring the personnel during the conduct of online capacity-building activities to ensure optimal benefits.
Relative to the teaching force, he encouraged the personnel to disseminate information campaign to graduates of Education who have not been hired, those already in the Registered Qualified Applicants, those who are undergoing the so-called Field Study (FS) that schools in SDO Tayabas would gladly welcome volunteers to cater to the needs of learners who are underprivileged, to assist the plantilla-item teachers.
He said, “We really have to capitalize and strengthen social responsibility, collaboration, and partnership at this time. I am thankful that the Local Government Unit, through Mayor Ernida A. Reynoso, continues to help DepEd.”
He added, “For your information, for modules alone for our almost 21, 000 learners (91% of target learners, as of July 3), we need to raise more or less P5.3 million per quarter.”
He also reiterated the necessity for the teaching personnel to submit themselves to chest x-rays to ensure their health and well-being.
In between his work-related announcements and reminders, he inspires the personnel to be grateful experiencing the privilege of life, to embrace, rather than resist change, to finish triumphantly the race they choose to take.
He added, “Acceptance is the key. Let us continue to be true to the promises of being public servants. And most of all let us all be EDUCATION CHAMPIONS.”
Before all proceeded to work, they had the shoot of ‘Bagong Bating Pilipino’ with Sir Noy.
