Pursuant to the provisions of Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act 9184 also known as the Government Procurement Reform Act, the Division of Tayabas established the Schools’ Bids and Awards Committee which aims to ensure functionality and increase the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the school in the procurement process.
The Division BAC Secretariat which was headed by Ms. Jeanette M. Buera, her assistants, Mr. Joritz Cabriga and Ms. Jennelyn Mirandilla and TWG Member Juanito D. Domirez conducted technical assistance to twenty two (22) school heads in posting or creating notices to Philgeps website on August 06, 2020 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at the SDS Conference Hall.
The participants were divided into three batches in compliance to COVID 19 health safety protocols.
The facilitators assisted all school heads involved to open their own buyer’s PhilGEPS accounts and be familiar with creating notices.
Before the said activity, the SDO issued a memorandum dated July 24, 2020 to direct the schools to register their own buyer’s account in preparation for the procurement of the modules.
